What is a Starbucks Card?
A Starbucks Card is a physical or digital Starbucks branded card that is a reusable card that customers can load or reload money onto and use to make purchases at Starbucks stores in New Zealand only.
Where can I get a Starbucks Card?
Starbucks Cards are available at all Starbucks stores in New Zealand. Digital Starbucks Cards can be purchased online at gift.starbucks.co.nz or on the Starbucks New Zealand App.
Where can I use my Starbucks Card?
Starbucks Cards are accepted at all Starbucks stores in New Zealand only.
Can I use my Starbucks Card issued in New Zealand when I travel internationally?
Starbucks Cards issued in New Zealand cannot be used in any other locations. The Starbucks Card can only be used at all Starbucks stores in New Zealand only.
How do I activate my physical Starbucks Card?
Starbucks Card must be activated at the minimum value of NZ$10 per card for the first use.
Why should I register my Starbucks Card?
Registering your Starbucks Card signs you up to enjoy Starbucks® Rewards Program in New Zealand. With a registered card, you can manage your card and balance in a variety of ways online. You can also protect the balance of your registered Starbucks card if it's lost, stolen or destroyed.
How do I register my Starbucks Card?
It's easy and only takes a few minutes to register your Starbucks Card through the Starbucks New Zealand app or member.starbucks.co.nz. In addition to the required personal information, you'll need your card's 16-digit number and its CSC (Card Security Code), which is an 8-digit number that can be found under the scratch-off coating on the back of your card.
How do I register my digital Starbucks Card?
Simply follow the instructions in the email you received to register your digital Starbucks Card. You will be asked to verify your email address once you click through from the email. You can then join Starbucks Rewards, add the card to your current Starbucks Rewards account or print the card to use instore.
Can I still use my Starbucks Card if I don’t register it?
Yes, if your Starbucks Card is activated (by loading a minimum value of NZ$10 on first use), you can use your card without registering your card. However you will not be able to Starbucks® Rewards Stars for your purchases.
How can I check my Starbucks Card balance?
You can check your Starbucks Card balance at member.starbucks.co.nz. or through the Starbucks® New Zealand app or ask the barista at any Starbucks stores.
How do I use my Starbucks Card for payment?
Please present your Starbucks Card or barcode in the Starbucks® New Zealand app to the barista upon payment.
How do I reload my Starbucks Card?
You can reload your Starbucks Card at any Starbucks store in New Zealand by cash or credit/debit card, via the Starbucks New Zealand app or thru member.starbucks.co.nz.
Is there any limitation on reloading?
There is a maximum value of NZ$500 for each Starbucks Card. Your Starbucks Card can be reloaded in any denominations as long as the maximum value has not been exceeded.
How do I report a lost or stolen Starbucks Card?
If your Starbucks Card is lost, stolen, or destroyed, you can notify us via member.starbucks.co.nz, the mobile app or contact us to report that your registered Starbucks card is lost, stolen or destroyed.
What if my Starbucks Card is lost or stolen and I have not registered it?
Unless your card is registered, we may not be able to deactivate the lost or stolen card.
Can I get a refund from my Starbucks Card?
Once the value is loaded, you cannot request a refund. Starbucks Cards cannot be redeemed for cash or change after a purchase is made.
How do I join Starbucks® Rewards Program with my Starbucks Cards?
You can enroll in Starbucks® Rewards Program and begin accumulating Stars by visiting member.starbucks.co.nz. or installing the Starbucks® New Zealand app and following prompts to create a Starbucks® Rewards.
Does a Starbucks Card have an expiry date?
Your Starbucks Card will expire two (2) years after the last financial transaction. The term “financial transaction” shall mean one of the following actions:
Activation
Reload
Redemption of rewards for a registered Starbucks Card
Purchasing Transaction
Fund Transfer (as defined herein below) between the registered Starbucks Cards.
After the expiry date, such Starbucks Card will be cancelled immediately and become invalid.
